Unique portraits of unique people.

They say that no two people look alike. If that's true, then why are so many photographs so similar? At Peace photoGraphics, we strive to take portraits that are just as individual as the people they capture. We specialize in creative commercial and art portraits.

What do we mean by "creative portraits"? Creative portraits are a marriage between formal portraits and candid photography. Rather than put the subject into a stiff, often unnatural setting, Creative Portraiture strives to capture the subject in a natural, relaxed pose.

Traditional formal photography tends to place the subject into a pre-defined role: sit here, tilt your head just so, look here, smile like this. Creative Portraits free the subject from these constraints. As a result, the portraits are more true-to-life, capturing the subject as an individual. With Creative Portraits, you can be yourself.

Another difference is the time and care we take with each portrait. Formal portraits are usually designed to get the subjects in and out as quickly as possible. At Peace photoGraphics, we believe that each portrait should be a work of art, so we take the time to do it right.

While we have a studio in-house, we also shoot portraits at your home, at your favourite park, in your backyard...wherever you are most comfortable.

There is no set time limit for these sessions, but they usually run around an hour, allowing for a change of location (if wanted) and changes of clothes.
